Job summary

Women’s Care in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support OB/GYN and primary care teams. You will prepare patients, assist providers, and ensure rooms and labs are ready for examinations and procedures.

The role requires completion of a MA program or equivalent, CPR/BLS certification, and solid knowledge of medical terminology. Prior experience in OB/GYN is a plus, with a commitment to HIPAA and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA certification preferred or able to obtain within 120 days.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days via Women’s Care training.
• Experience in OB/GYN or primary care is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and professional communication.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections if applicable; accurate measurements and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment and testing.
• Restock, sterilize and maintain all patient care areas and rooms.
• Record patient medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Enter data into electronic medical records (eCW) with accuracy.
• Educate patients with information and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Demonstrate professionalism and HIPAA-compliant behavior at all times.
