Job summary

Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital, part of Fairview Health Services, is seeking an LPN/MA for the Ob-Gyn clinic in Grand Rapids, MN. The role involves direct patient care, coordinating with providers, updating medical records, and supporting patient flow in a busy ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate holds an MN LPN license (and MA certification) with BLS in two months, strong teamwork, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Current LPN Minnesota license and Medical Assistant certification/registration required.
• Ambulatory health care setting experience preferred.
• BLS certification to be completed within two months of employment.
• Demonstrated ability to follow Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct focused assessment and compare data to patient status; report changes to providers.
• Participate with health care team in developing/modifying the plan of care.
• Implement patient care interventions delegated by a licensed provider.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to other licensed practical nurses.
• Assign/monitor nursing tasks to certified medical assistants or unlicensed staff.
• Focus on patient care, safety, advocacy, and collaboration with the care team.
• Provide patient education materials and health information to patients.
• Contribute to policies and procedures input.
• Account for quality of care and operate within licensed scope as per Minnesota Act.
