Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General invites applications for an Ob/Gyn Hospitalist to lead obstetric and acute gynecologic care within the New Life Center. The Level 3 Perinatal Center handles ~1800 deliveries annually and requires board-certified candidates with strong clinical leadership.

The hospitalist will supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students, coordinate admissions from Women’s Health Clinic, and work with Maternal-Fetal Medicine to ensure safe transfers and continuous OB/GYN coverage

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with clinical experience to support hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care.
• Responsible for supervision of OB/GYN residents and medical students.
• Faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students.
• Provide OB/GYN coverage in the Obstetric Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety.
• Coordinate admissions from Women’s Health Clinic and unregistered/walk-in patients.
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine to evaluate transfers and back up family medicine services.
• Provide OB/GYN consultations throughout the hospital.
