Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks an Ob/Gyn Hospitalist to lead hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care within the New Life Center, a Level 3 Perinatal Center performing ~1800 deliveries per year.

The role includes supervision of residents and medical students, collaboration with Maternal Fetal Medicine, and back‑up coverage for obstetric services across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with clinical experience to support hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care.
• Faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at Northeastern Ohio Medical University.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students.
• Oversee care in the Obstetric Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety.
• Manage admissions from Women's Health Clinic and unregistered/walk-in patients; provide OB/GYN consultations throughout the hospital.
