Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an Ob/Gyn Hospitalist for our New Life Center, a Level 3 Perinatal Center with ~1800 deliveries per year. The hospitalist will supervise OB/GYN services, respond to emergencies across the hospital, and collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine to manage transfers and consultations.

The role balances clinical duties with teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students, with faculty appointment possible at NEOMED and a sign-on loan forgiveness

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN with clinical experience supporting full scope hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care.
• Experience supervising residents and medical students in an academic setting.
• Ability to lead and direct patient care, professional and academic activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care in Obstetric Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery and perinatal safety.
• Handle admissions from Women’s Health Clinic and unregistered/walk-in patients.
• Provide OB/GYN consultations throughout the hospital and support transfer evaluations.
• Balance clinical and academic duties with supervision of residents and students.
