Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General's New Life Center seeks an Ob/Gyn Hospitalist to lead inpatient obstetric and acute gynecologic care in a Level 3 perinatal center performing about 1800 deliveries annually. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required, with experience in hospital-based obstetric services.

The position balances clinical and academic duties, including supervision of residents and medical students, with a 36-48 hour week (12-24 hour shifts).

Qualifications

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required.
• Experience in hospital-based obstetric and acute gynecologic care preferred.
• Supervision of OB/GYN residents and medical students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OB/GYN care in the Obstetric Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety.
• Respond to OB/GYN emergencies and manage admissions from Women’s Health Clinic.
• Provide OB/GYN consultations and collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine.
