Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an Ob/Gyn Hospitalist to lead and support hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care at the New Life Center. This role includes supervision of residents and medical students, with academic appointment at Northeastern Ohio Medical University.

The position balances clinical duties with teaching, typically involving 36–48 hours per week in 12–24 hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN with clinical experience to support full scope of hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care.
• Willingness to supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care in the Obstetric Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety.
• Respond to OB/Gyn emergencies across the hospital and manage admissions from Women's Health Clinic.
• Provide OB/GYN consultations and collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine for transfers.
