Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General (CCAG) is seeking an Ob/Gyn Hospitalist to lead and deliver hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care in the New Life Center, a Level 3 Perinatal Center performing ~1800 deliveries annually. Role includes supervision of residents/students and possible Northeastern Ohio Medical University faculty appointment.

Typical schedule is 36–48 hours per week across 12–24 hour shifts with flexible options (nocturnist, part-time).

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN with clinical experience to support hospital-based obstetrical and acute gynecologic care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care in the Obstetric Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety throughout the hospital.
• Respond to Ob/Gyn emergencies and assist admissions from Women's Health Clinic and walk-in patients.
• Provide OB/GYN consultations and back-up for family medicine services; work with Maternal Fetal Medicine for transfers.
• Balance clinical and academic duties, including supervision of residents and medical students.
