Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General invites a board-certified Ob/Gyn Hospitalist to lead obstetric and gynecologic care at the New Life Center, a Level 3 Perinatal Center handling about 1,800 deliveries yearly.

The hospitalist will oversee OB/GYN emergencies, admissions, and consults across the hospital, coordinating with Maternal-Fetal Medicine and teaching residents and medical students as part of Northeastern Ohio Medical University collaboration.

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN with hospitalist experience in obstetric and gynecologic care.
• Experience supervising residents and coordinating inpatient obstetric services.
• Strong leadership and collaboration with maternal-fetal medicine teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise obstetric and gynecologic care in the hospital setting.
• Respond to OB/GYN emergencies and manage admissions from Women's Health Clinic.
• Coordinate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine and other services for transfers and consultations.
• Provide teaching and supervision to residents and medical students.
