Job summary

Allina Health's premier OB/GYN Hospitalist team is seeking physicians to deliver expert inpatient care for mothers and babies across Minnesota. You will participate in a 24/7 hospitalist program with shared day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage, focusing on rapid response to obstetric emergencies and coordinated team-based care.

This role emphasizes inpatient labor and delivery coverage, postpartum management, and inpatient gynecologic consultations, working with Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and licensed to practice in MN.
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
• Eligibility to obtain MN medical license and MN DEA/certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care including Labor & Delivery, postpartum management, obstetric emergencies, and inpatient gynecologic consultations.
• Serve as a key member of a 24/7 hospitalist program, caring for assigned and unassigned patients with rapid response to high-acuity situations.
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, CNMs, and community OB/GYN providers to deliver coordinated care.
• Manage a diverse patient population from routine obstetrics to complex maternal cases, including urgent operative deliveries.
• Utilize Epic (Excellian) within a flexible hospitalist model with shared day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Practice Details:

• Manage a diverse patient population ranging from routine obstetrics to medically and surgically complex maternal cases, including urgent operative deliveries.

Licenses/Certifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required

• BE/BC with ABMS or AOA within Obstetrics and Gynecology upon hire

• Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)

• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)

• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges

• Current BLS certification with AHA, ARC or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire
