Job summary

Allina Health in Minneapolis-St. Paul is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Hospitalist to provide 24/7 inpatient obstetric care, labor and delivery coverage, and obstetric emergencies within Abbott Northwestern Hospital and affiliated sites.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign-equivalency is required.
• BE/BC with ABMS or AOA in Obstetrics and Gynecology upon hire.
• Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to obtain MN DEA certification and NPI.
• Credentialing and hospital privileges could be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care including Labor & Delivery, postpartum management, obstetric emergencies, and inpatient gynecologic consultations.
• Serve as a key member of a 24/7 hospitalist program, caring for assigned and unassigned patients with rapid response to high-acuity situations.
• Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, CNMs, Family Medicine OB physicians, and community OB/GYN providers for coordinated care.
• Manage a diverse patient population from routine obstetrics to medically and surgically complex maternal cases, including urgent operative deliveries.
• Utilize Epic (Excellian) within a flexible hospitalist model offering shared day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Licenses/Certifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required

• BE/BC with ABMS or AOA within Obstetrics and Gynecology upon hire

• Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)

• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)

• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges

• Current BLS certification with AHA, ARC or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire
