Qualifications

• MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
• BE/BC with ABMS or AOA within Obstetrics and Gynecology upon hire
• Active, non-restricted medical license in MN
• Ability to obtain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges
• Current BLS certification with AHA, ARC or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care, including Labor & Delivery and postpartum management.
• Care for assigned and unassigned patients in a 24/7 hospitalist program.
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, CNMs, Family Medicine OB physicians, and community OB/GYN providers.
• Manage a diverse patient population from routine obstetrics to complex maternal cases.
• Utilize Epic (Excellian) in a flexible hospitalist model with shared day/night/weekend/holiday coverage.

Practice Details:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care, including Labor & Delivery, postpartum management, obstetric emergencies, and inpatient gynecologic consultations.

• Serve as a key member of a 24/7 hospitalist program, caring for both assigned and unassigned patients while ensuring rapid response to high-acuity clinical situations.

• Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, Family Medicine OB physicians, and community OB/GYN providers to deliver coordinated, team-based care.

• Manage a diverse patient population ranging from routine obstetrics to medically and surgically complex maternal cases, including urgent operative deliveries.

• Utilize Epic (Excellian) within a flexible hospitalist model offering shared day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage.
