Job summary

UTHealth Houston is seeking a Front Desk Medical Assistant to join the OB/Gyn Maternal Fetal Medicine team. You will provide exceptional customer service, support patient care, and coordinate clinic flow in a fast-paced specialty clinic.

The role requires assisting physicians with patient care, scheduling, check-in/check-out, and basic clerical duties. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, and A Medical Assistant training program is preferred; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program is preferred.
• Six months experience or completion of a Medical Assistant Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and residents with patient care and clinic flow.
• Coordinate scheduling, check-in/check-out and patient flow.
• Perfrom clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
• Take and document patient information, vital signs, medications and allergies.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist with routine and specialty procedures as needed.
