Galen Medical Group in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the OBGYN RIDGESIDE team. You will support the provider, verify patient information, record vital signs, and help prepare exam rooms and procedures.

The role emphasizes accuracy in the EHR, patient communication, and collaboration with physicians and staff; BLS certification and CMA credential are required, with opportunities for growth within a patient-centered practice.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential required.
• 1–3 years CMA experience preferred.
• Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and medical history.
• Prepare patients for examination and record vital signs.
• Enter data into the patient’s EHR system.
• Prepare and stock examination rooms.
• Assist provider with minor procedures.
• Schedule outpatient tests, procedures or surgeries.
• Manage referrals and triage patient calls.
• Perform ancillary testing (EKG, spirometry, etc.).
• Review lab results and follow up as directed.
