Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited program.
• One year of related CMA experience if CMA program not completed.
• BLS certification is required.
• Electronic Medical Record experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patient, record medical history, verify purpose of visit.
• Take vital signs and prepare patient for examination.
• Prepare and stock examination rooms; sterilize instruments.
• Assist provider with procedures and minor office tasks.
• Schedule outpatient testing, referrals, and pre-certifications.
• Triage patient calls according to site protocol.
• Process prescription refill requests per physician protocol.
• Provide health education and ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
