Job summary

Director Clinical Operations at Montefiore Medical Center – OBGYN is the operational steward responsible for overseeing the department’s six strategic pillars, with leadership over NPs, CNMs, and nursing support services. This role drives patient access, experience, quality, safety, and staff wellness across multiple practice sites.

The DCO partners with division directors and leadership to expand signature programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and sustain high levels of clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• New York State License as a Registered Nurse required.
• BLS required.
• 7-9 years clinical experience in OB/GYN required.
• 4-6 years leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and governance of standardized clinical and administrative workflows across OB/GYN practice sites and care settings.
• Oversee end-to-end panel management for all NPs and CNMs, ensuring appropriate panel size, patient attribution, and balanced caseloads.
• Monitor patient experience data (Press Ganey, CAHPS, internal surveys) to drive satisfaction improvements.
• Ensure care coordination workflows are seamless across prenatal-to-postpartum and gynecologic care continuum.
• Serve as the departmental operational leader for regulatory, accreditation, and certification activities.
• Create structured recognition, career development, and retention programs for departmental staff and lead the Pregnancy Home Initiative.
