Job summary

United Hospital Center in West Virginia invites an experienced RN to join our ambulatory care team. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with the health care team to ensure quality outcomes.

The role requires current RN licensure (state or multi-state ENLC) and the ability to obtain required temporary permits. Preferred BSN or ASN/Diploma with BSN within 5 years of hire.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice or multi-state ENLC license.
• Must obtain temporary RN permit as required by the state board.
• BSN preferred or ASN/Diploma with BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Ability to work in ambulatory care and apply nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within ambulatory settings using the nursing process.
• Performs preliminary assessment of patients through observation and chart review.
• Evaluates unstable or complex patient care situations and initiates interventions.
• Uses independent nursing judgment and collaborates with care team.
• Promotes patient and family education; documents learning needs.
• Supports orientation and mentoring of new staff.
