Job summary

Avera Cresco, IA is seeking an OB Coordinator to oversee nursing care in the obstetrics unit. The role directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff, while continually assessing and educating on patient care.

The OB Coordinator also serves as charge nurse and supports the Director of Nursing Services in their absence. This position requires an Iowa RN license, a nursing degree, and ongoing professional development; BLS is required within 3 months, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications

Qualifications

• Registered nurse license in Iowa.
• BSN preferred; if not, will show proof of continued enrollment within one year with completion within three years.
• Current BLS (CPR) within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.

Position Highlights

Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Works as charge nurse and staff nurse when needed. Responsible for the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Nursing Services.

Position Qualifications

• Registered nursing degree from nursing school.
• BSN Preferred-If no BSN on hire, will be required to show proof of continued enrollment within one year of hire date with completion of program within three years.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa.
• BLS (CPR) required or obtained within 3 months of hire
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certified.
