Job summary

Intermountain Health at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado seeks an Inventory Coordinator to manage perioperative inventory. You will oversee replenishment, picking, staging, delivery, and put-away for the department, ensuring par levels are set and supplies are accurately tracked.

You will reconcile reports, communicate stock levels to clinical staff, and work with field logistics to optimize supply chain processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with PeriOp inventory management.
  • Experience prioritizing multiple tasks and coordinating teams of caregivers.
  • History of inventory control such as cycle counts and physical inventory.
  • Demonstrated examples of strong cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate replenishment activity for assigned locations or clinical program using established SOPs.
  • Oversee ordering and delivering of supplies for assigned department or clinical program; manage Consignment or Vendor Managed Inventory if applicable.
  • Replenishment activity in assigned locations using SOPs; ensure proper storage of temperature-sensitive products.
  • Reconciles and manages inventory reports (negative on-hand, exception, unconfirmed, put away reports) using system tools to support KPIs.
  • Communicate information concerning supply levels, new products, standardization, back orders, and product implementation to stakeholders.
  • Adhere to cycle count and inventory relief SOPs; understand and apply Supply Chain SOPs, Reports and Tools.

Job Description

This position is accountable for coordinating all inventory activities for assigned dept, facility or clinical program. This may include some or all of the following: Replenishment, Picking, Staging, Delivery, Put Away, Special Orders & Substitutions. May include managing PAR levels, Binning, Cycle Counts, Bill Only and Inventory Relief activities. Oversees inventory coordination between suppliers and SCO Sourcing Specialists.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm

Essentials
  • Performs inventory control on both stock and non-stock items (sets par levels, identifies and adjusts to trends) for assigned inventory. Keep supplies binned and organized. Acts as liaison with Field Logistics and clinical program.
  • Accountable for all the ordering and delivering of supplies for assigned department or clinical program, using standard operating procedures, appropriate technology, and suppliers. If applicable, manages Consignment or Vendor Managed Inventory according to SCO (SOP’s).
  • Accountable for replenishment activity in assigned locations or clinical program using established SCO Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Ensures that temperature sensitive products are stored properly and are delivered according to manufacturer and Intermountain guidelines.
  • Reconciles / manages inventory reports (ie: negative on-hand, exception, unconfirmed, put away reports, etc). Utilizes appropriate reports and system tools to ensure effectiveness in support of key performance indicators.
  • Communicates information concerning supply levels, new products, standardization, back orders, and product implementation to the relevant stakeholders or clinical program staff.
  • Adheres to established cycle count and inventory relief (SOP’s). Understands and applies Supply Chain (SOP’s), Reports and Tools.
