Job summary

Millennium Power in Charlton, MA, seeks an O&M Technician to monitor and operate a 360 MW combined-cycle facility, including Siemens 501G and BB 33-65 equipment. You’ll perform startup/shutdowns, maintenance, and fault resolution to ensure reliability and safety.

The role requires at least a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), MA 2nd Class Fireman license, and 2+ years of power-plant experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
Massachusetts 2nd Class Fireman license required; Hoisting Engineer license within 12 months.
Minimum two years of O&M experience in power generation or similar.
Experience with Siemens 501G/BB‑33‑65 or similar equipment preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and preventive/predictive maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor turbine and plant equipment during startup, shutdown, and normal operation.
Respond to alarms, adjust parameters, and communicate abnormalities promptly.
Perform routine rounds, inspections, and report findings to supervision.
Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Maintain LOTO compliance and safe switching/isolation practices.
Maintain logs and CMMS entries for equipment history and work orders.
Coordinate with personnel and contractors to complete work safely.
