Indiana Michigan Power Company is seeking an Operations Technician for a West Virginia power plant. You will monitor and inspect turbines, HRSGs, boilers, generators and switchyard equipment, and operate controls both remotely and locally.

You will perform chemical analyses, maintenance tasks and assist with electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, efficient plant operation. The role requires an Associate Degree in power plant technologies or equivalent experience, plus 12–18

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Power Plant Technologies or equivalent experience.
• 12 to 18 months of power plant operations, maintenance, electrical, instrumentation and controls experience.
• A basic knowledge of heat balance systems and operating safety practices.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and inspect plant equipment including turbines, generators, HRSGs, condensers and pumps.
• Operate controls remotely and from local panels; respond to alarms and abnormal conditions.
• Assist in maintenance, calibration, testing and repair of electrical, instrumentation and plant controls systems.
• Perform chemical tests; maintain boiler water chemistry and plant cycle chemistry.
• Coordinate with contractors and plant personnel to ensure safe operations.
