Zachary Piper Solutions is actively seeking an O&M Network Engineer to join our team in a direct placement. The role focuses on designing, configuring, and supporting network systems to meet customer and mission requirements, with emphasis on WAN transport, routing, cloud networking, and security.

Ideal candidates bring 5–8 years in network engineering, hands-on device configuration, and expertise with BGP, MPLS, SD‑WAN, and Azure networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
• 5-8 years of experience in network engineering
• Experience configuring network devices and navigating CLI environments
• Experience with WAN and routing technologies, including BGP, MPLS, and SD‑WAN
• Expertise with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols
• Experience with cloud networking technologies including ExpressRoute and Azure Virtual Networks
• Cloud orchestration and network device management
• Understanding of Layer 1 technologies
• Knowledge of STIGs, KGs, traffic management, and secure network transport
• 0% outside the local area (all travel within 50 miles from Site)

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring an O&M Network Engineer. Responsibilities may include supporting network engineering and deployment activities, configuring and troubleshooting network devices, performing root cause analysis, developing technical documentation, gathering customer requirements, and supporting network operations and sustainment efforts. This is a direct placement role located in Springfield, Virginia. The O&M Network Engineer is expected to have experience in network engineering, network device configuration, routing and transport technologies, cloud networking, network security, and infrastructure deployment. This is a great opportunity to support mission‑critical network environments and technical operations.

• Experience with cloud orchestration and network device management.
• Understanding of Layer 1 technologies, including cable plant and circuits.
• Knowledge of network security concepts and technologies, including STIGs, KGs, traffic management, and secure network transport
• 0% outside the local area (all travel within 50 miles from Site)

Compensation for the O&M Network Engineer:

• Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000 *depending on experience*
