Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technical Trainer to develop and elevate our nursing team across our NYC hospitals. The role blends hands-on clinical work with strategic training initiatives to advance patient care and staff development.

You will lead training for technicians and assistants, ensure ongoing CE, and collaborate with leadership to implement new programs. Competitive hourly pay and commuter reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• Maintain RVT/LVT/CVT in accordance with state laws.
• High School Diploma required.
• Vet Technician skill level III or greater; prior BluePearl VT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in nursing competencies while working as a hands-on clinical technician.
• Lead and facilitate training for veterinary technicians and assistants across hospitals.
• Ensure ongoing continuing education and skill development for staff.
• Implement new company-wide and global training initiatives within hospitals.
• Elevate patient care standards through education, mentorship, and hands-on coaching.
• Foster collaboration between technicians, assistants, and hospital leadership.
• Track and report staff training progress and ensure accountability.
• Collaborate with National Technician Trainer to develop programs, digital content, and recruitment/retention initiatives.
