Job summary

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring a full-time Multi-Unit General Manager to oversee multiple New York City locations. This role works closely with the founding team and leads store operations, guest experience, inventory and staff.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in food retail management, strong team leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 USD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a food retail management role.
• NYC DOH Food handlers license required.
• Prior experience managing a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand for extended periods and walk stairs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns stations for employees.
• Recruit, orient, and train store staff.
• Coach, counsel, and evaluate staff.
• Monitor sales targets and forecast labor.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards.
• Communicate with vendors to ensure inventory.
• Roll out new menu items to the team.
• Process weekly payroll and ensure accuracy of records.
• Maintain uniform standards across staff.
• Address maintenance issues promptly.
