Job summary

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream in New York City is seeking a full-time Single-Unit General Manager to oversee one NYC location (Brooklyn or Manhattan). You will work closely with the founding team to drive day-to-day operations and guest experience.

The role focuses on people operations, sales, inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. A NYC DOH Food handlers license is required and prior food retail management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of food retail management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills required.
• Ability to manage staff and operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the assigned store.
• Manage people operations, sales, inventory, and guest service experience.
• Schedule and train staff; coach and manage performance.
• Monitor budgets and forecast labor to meet financial targets.
• Uphold high standards of customer service and store cleanliness.
