Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Manhattan, NY invites applications for a Junior Leasing Agent to join our residential leasing team. This onsite, customer-facing role supports luxury rentals and collaborates with experienced Leasing Agents and the Leasing Manager from inquiry to lease administration.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in leasing or sales, holds an active New York State Real Estate license, and is proficient with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of leasing, residential real estate, sales, or similar customer-facing experience.
• Active New York State Real Estate License required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Comfortable conducting tours and following up with prospects to close leases.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with property management or leasing software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct apartment and building tours for prospective residents.
• Respond to inquiries and calls about availability, requirements, policies, and features.
• Build relationships with prospects and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the leasing process.
• Utilize strong sales and closing techniques to help convert prospects into residents.
• Collect and prepare verification documents required to process rental applications.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure applications move efficiently through the approval process.
• Prepare and administer leases and other leasing-related documents.
• Post and maintain vacant listings across key rental websites with accurate pricing and availability.
• Partner with leasing and marketing teams regarding pricing, market conditions, and trends.
