Job summary

ProSource Group is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Project Manager for Midtown Manhattan to support commercial HVAC installations and major infrastructure upgrades across NYC. The role involves collaborating on projects featuring chillers, boilers, piping, and BMS, with 3+ years of mechanical construction experience.

Candidates at the Project Manager level will also be considered for broader responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC or mechanical construction experience.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and equipment schedules.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, procurement and project documentation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, piping and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical projects from preconstruction through installation, commissioning and closeout.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate HVAC equipment, piping, controls and subcontractor activities.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and change orders.
• Track procurement, project costs, schedules and equipment deliveries.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, field teams, engineers and vendors.
