Job summary

Outsource Consultants is seeking a Licensed Architect Consultant for residential and commercial ground-up projects in New York City. The role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders throughout the approval and construction process.

The ideal candidate will have an Active New York State Architect License, at least 5 years of experience in NYC projects, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Competitive compensation is offered based on experience.

Licensed Architect Consultant

Residential & Commercial Ground-Up Projects
Consulting Opportunity – Expediting & Filing Support

Position Overview

An established NYC expediting company is seeking a highly experienced and licensed Architect to consult on a variety of residential and commercial ground-up construction projects throughout New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who understands NYC zoning, DOB regulations, and the complexities of navigating projects from concept through approval.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, practical design experience, and the ability to collaborate with expediters, engineers, owners, and contractors to ensure projects move efficiently through the approval and construction process. Must be willing to be employed directly by our company on a W2 basis. No third-party agencies, C2C, or 1099 inquiries, please.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide architectural consulting services for residential and commercial ground-up developments.
  • Review and prepare architectural drawings and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with ownership, consultants, engineers, and contractors throughout project development.
  • Assist with NYC DOB filings, plan examination responses, objections, and approvals.
  • Interpret and apply NYC Building Code, Zoning Resolution, Energy Code, and related regulations.
  • Support permitting strategies and construction compliance efforts.
  • Conduct code and zoning analyses for proposed developments.
  • Attend meetings with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the expediting team to streamline filing and approval processes.
  • Review project feasibility, constructability, and compliance issues.
Qualifications
  • Active New York State Architect License required.
