Job summary

Sonesta Hotels in New York City seeks a Catering/Conference Services Manager to coordinate meetings, conventions, and events booked through Sales. You will sell meetings spaces, F&B, and plan services to maximize hotel revenue, acting as liaison between client and hotel operations for successful events and room blocks.

The ideal candidate is guest-focused with strong organizational and communication skills, aiming to develop leadership in Catering and CS.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required; college coursework preferred.
• 1–2 years hotel experience; sales or front desk is a plus.
• Proficiency in Salesforce FDC and/or Opera is a plus.
• Intermediary knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Word is required.
• Proficiency in English reading and writing is a must; bilingual/multilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Detail and service all assigned bookings with group rooms and event spaces.
• Manage room blocks and event spaces per Sonesta guidelines.
• Prepare and review all Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and attend daily meetings.
• Coordinate menu planning, food & beverage coordination, and VIP services.
• Negotiate and book new and repeat business to maximize revenue.
• Maintain Sonesta CRM accuracy and achieve personal and team goals.
