Job summary

Tavily, based in New York City, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer for Enterprise. You will design, prototype, and deploy AI systems powered by Tavily’s API, collaborating with enterprise customers from discovery to production.

You will build RAG pipelines and agent workflows, create reference architectures, and serve as a bridge between field and product teams. 3+ years in software engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, including customer-facing technical roles.
• Strong hands-on engineering ability with Python, APIs, and production software.
• Experience with LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and modern AI stacks.
• Experience with enterprise customers, POCs, and production rollout.
• Ability to communicate with technical and executive stakeholders.
• Based in New York City, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Engage with enterprise customers to understand use cases, architecture, and deployment requirements.
• Lead technical discovery and solution design during pre-sales and expansions.
• Scope and deliver proofs of concept showing business and technical value.
• Design production-ready integrations using Tavily’s API (RAG, agent workflows).
• Collaborate with customer teams to move use cases from prototype to production.
• Monitor API usage and suggest reliability improvements.
• Translate customer needs into roadmap input and reusable assets.
• Represent Tavily in architecture reviews and executive conversations.
