Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer, Enterprise, in New York City to design, prototype, and deploy production‑grade AI systems powered by Tavily’s API. You will own the technical relationship across the customer lifecycle, from initial use case exploration to deployed, scalable agentic applications.

You’ll build RAG pipelines, agent workflows, reference architectures, and custom integrations, collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive adoption, retention and expansion

Qualifications

• 5+ years as software engineer in customer-facing technical roles such as Forward Deployed Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
• Hands-on with Python, APIs, backend systems and production software development.
• Experience building with LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, agent architectures and modern AI stacks.
• Experience working with enterprise customers through discovery, POCs, solution design, and production rollout.
• Strong understanding of how enterprises evaluate, deploy, secure, and scale AI systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand AI use cases, architecture, success criteria, and deployment requirements.
• Lead technical discovery and solution design during pre-sales and expansion conversations.
• Scope, build, and deliver proofs of concept that demonstrate business and technical value.
• Design and implement production-ready integrations using Tavily’s API, including RAG pipelines and agent workflows.
• Collaborate with customer engineering, data, product, and AI teams to move use cases to production.
• Monitor API usage patterns and recommend improvements for reliability and latency.
• Translate recurring customer needs into clear product and roadmap input.
• Create reference architectures, deployment guides, and technical documentation for enterprise use.
• Represent Tavily in architecture reviews and executive technical conversations.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to drive adoption and expansion.
