Qualifications

• J.D. and active New York State Bar admission.
• 2–4 years of NY personal injury litigation experience.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in New York State Supreme Court.
• Strong legal research, writing, and motion practice skills.
• Working knowledge of CPLR and NY motor vehicle and premises liability law.
• Experience with serious injury threshold motions is a plus.
• Familiarity with Litify or a similar case management platform is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of motor vehicle and premises liability matters
• Draft pleadings, discovery demands and responses, bills of particulars, and motions
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and non-party witnesses
• Appear at preliminary, compliance, pre-trial, and settlement conferences
• Draft and oppose summary judgment and discovery-related motions
• Evaluate damages, prepare settlement demands, and negotiate resolutions
• Maintain organized, trial-ready files and support trial counsel as needed
• Coordinate with paralegals, experts, and the firm’s closing team
