Columbia Bank in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Community Development Officer for the NY Market to foster relationships with community leaders, nonprofits, housing developers and small businesses, driving affordable housing and economic development within the Bank’s CRA NY Assessment Area.

The role involves connecting partners to CRA Account Executives, Commercial Lenders and nonprofit officers, researching programs, and promoting community education and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of affordable housing, small business development, and community development experience.
• Knowledge of CRA regulations and related programs is essential.

Responsibilities

• Foster and maintain relationships with community leaders and partners.
• Develop and support housing and economic development programs within the CRA NY area.
• Identify opportunities for CRA lending, investment and services with partners.
• Coordinate with CRA Account Executives, lenders, and nonprofit officers.
• Represent the Bank at community events and forums.
