Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced NX Developer to design and build automation and tooling for the Siemens NX CAD environment. You’ll own the full lifecycle of internal developer tools and collaborate with engineers who rely on them for fast, reliable designs.

You’ll write code (NXOpen API, Python, C++), implement templates and libraries, and integrate NX with Teamcenter to support vision‑driven, high‑velocity engineering. This is a hands-on, product‑like role for internal users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a CAD development role in fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• Proficiency in NX Open API development using C/C++, Python, Java, or .NET (C#/VB.NET).
• Hands-on experience with NX CAD administration including templates, drafting standards, part families, reuse libraries, and role-based configurations.
• Experience creating and maintaining NX journaling scripts and custom automation toolkits.
• Strong understanding of CAD data management concepts including naming conventions, revision control, and BOM structures.
• Ability to empathize with end-users and translate needs into features.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain NX Open API customizations to automate design tasks and enforce standards.
• Build and manage NX CAD admin tools including templates, libraries, and check-mate rules for consistency.
• Create custom NX dialogs, menus, and toolbars to streamline workflows for design teams.
• Develop journal-based automation scripts and NX Open applications to accelerate modeling, drafting, and BOM generation.
• Collaborate with PLM engineers to ensure NX–Teamcenter integration in managed mode, including classification and workflows.
• Work with a cross-functional team of solution engineers to finish business-critical projects.
• Troubleshoot NX technical issues including deployment, site configuration, and toolkit distribution.
