URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. is seeking a Nuuly Spotting Clerk in Raymore, MO to identify stains, select the right spotting method by fabric and stain, and apply chemical solutions to remove stains. You should be a motivated team player with good organization and communication skills.

You must thrive in a multitasking environment, maintain fabric integrity, and be open to new assignments. Training will be provided and there are opportunities to contribute to store operations and performance.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Knowledge of textiles.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to remove stains while maintaining fabric integrity.
• Must have color vision.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and overtime as required.
• Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect spot stains to determine composition and select appropriate solvents.
• Apply chemicals to neutralize the effects of solvents.
• Spray steam, water, or air over a spot to flush out chemicals, dry fabric, raise nap, or brighten color.
• Clean fabric using a vacuum or air hose.
• Spread the garment on a worktable and position the stain over the vacuum head or on a marble slab.
• Apply bleaching powder to spot and spray with steam to remove stains from certain fabrics.
• Provide training to associates as needed.
• Willingly take on additional responsibilities to contribute to team success.

Role Summary

As a Nuuly Spotting Clerk, your primary role involves identifying stains on fabrics, determining the optimal spotting procedure based on fabric type and stain nature, and applying chemical solutions to effectively remove stains. You should be a motivated team player with a positive attitude, possessing strong organizational and communication skills. You must thrive in a multitasking environment, paying meticulous attention to detail, and being open to new and diverse assignments. Additionally, you should be capable of collaborating effectively with all organizational levels, including fellow employees, customers, and management.

Role Responsibilities

• Inspect spot stains to determine their composition and select appropriate solvents.
• Apply chemicals to neutralizethe effects of solvents.
• Sprays steam, water, or air over a spot to flush out chemicals, dry material, raise nap, or brighten color.
• Clean fabric using a vacuum or air hose.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and walk throughout a shift
• Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
• Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
• Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements
