Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, Florida is seeking a dedicated food service worker to prepare and serve meals for patients, stock nursing pantries, and maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will ensure patient safety by following proper identification, temperatures, and sanitation procedures while delivering meals and supporting kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• HAACP standards knowledge preferred.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge preferred.
• Food preparation experience preferred.
• Experience with dish machines or related equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items following recipes and production requirements.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments with accurate inventory records.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record temperatures, and deliver trays to patients with proper ID and isolation protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment.
• Operate dishroom equipment and cafe registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperatures.

Job Description:

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
