Job summary

AdventHealth Sebring is hiring a patient-focused food service worker to prepare hot and cold items, stock and sanitize kitchen areas, and deliver meals to patients with strict safety protocols.

The role requires basic food handling knowledge, strong English communication, and a willingness to work a day weekend shift in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English (required).
• HAACP knowledge preferred.
• Food safety and sanitation preferred.
• Food preparation experience preferred.
• Dish machine and related equipment knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items following recipes and production requirements.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments with accurate records.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record temperatures, and deliver patient trays with proper identification.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment; follow safety guidelines.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers; process transactions; monitor sanitation logs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
