Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Nutrition Steward Lead at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. This full-time role oversees sanitation, dishwashing, and general housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe culinary environment in compliance with hospital standards.

The position requires flexibility with shifts (AM/PM) and a 40-hour work week, with hourly pay range $18.22–$23.68 depending on experience. Benefits are described in the PEAK program and comprehensive caregiver offerings.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work (Utah/Idaho).
• ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire date if not current.
• Demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Reads color coded labels and chemicals and follows written/verbal directions.
• Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Leads and maintains workflow of assigned area and ensures tasks are completed.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes
• Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors.
• Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using procedures.
• Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Operates and maintains the commercial dishwasher and related equipment.
• Supports a disciplined environment and provides after-hours supervision in the absence of the supervisor.
