Job summary

Englewood Public School District is seeking a Training and Relief Specialist for its Nutrition Services program. You will travel to Englewood school kitchens and the admin office to train staff on food preparation, safety, and inventory practices while supporting daily meal production.

The role requires strong leadership, ServSafe certification within 3 months of hire, and the ability to cover shifts as needed, including occasional evenings for events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years institutional food service experience required.
• Demonstrated experience in ordering and inventory control preferred.
• ServSafe certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Train all new and existing Nutrition Services staff and substitutes on food preparation and production, food safety and sanitation, and point-of-sale operations.
• Forecast and order food aligning with menus and budgets.
• Travel to Englewood Schools sites and Nutrition office; may travel to multiple sites in a shift.
• Provide staff relief when needed and assist with staff scheduling.
• Ensure employees understand updated SOPs, policies, and federal/state regulations.
• Deliver timely, constructive feedback and support staff development; uphold regulatory compliance.
