Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Team Leader for Food and Nutrition Services to supervise staff across tray line, cafeteria, patient service and sanitation operations.

The role ensures meals are served on time, properly portioned, and compliant with diet and safety standards. Requirements include previous supervisory experience in a food service setting and an emphasis on effective communication in English.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assigns personnel to cover tray line, cafeteria, patient service and sanitation positions.
• Covers shorthanded areas by the least expensive method within guidelines.
• Documents late, excused/unexcused absences, and performance problems.
• Monitors the performance of Food and Nutrition Services staff and corrects problems.
• Demonstrates understanding of department policies and procedures and suggests corrective actions.
• Completes pre-service checklist ensuring equipment, temperatures and stock for meals.
• Ensures special diets are prepared, labeled and substitutions approved.
• Monitors meal service to ensure timely, attractive service and proper sanitation.
