Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE is seeking a Supervising Food Service Leader to oversee team performance, interviewing, hiring, counseling and performance reviews within our healthcare facility.

You will manage staffing, scheduling, regulatory compliance and menu planning, ensuring quality recipes, appearance and sanitation of food while supporting a compassionate, Christian environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the food service or food production industry.
• CDM certification preferred; may be required within two years of hire.
• Serve Safe certification may be required within a year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the quality of performance for team members and assists with interviewing, hiring, counseling, disciplining and performance reviews.
• Ensures adequate staffing and scheduling; ensures regulatory compliance and proper food ordering.
• Writes, tests and implements recipes; advises on appearance, taste and sanitation of food.
• Leads meetings, delegates tasks, and manages conflicts; maintains a positive work environment.
