Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support dining services in a compassionate, not-for-profit setting. You will monitor temperatures, serve meals, and maintain clean, sanitary serving areas while providing friendly customer service.

Flexible shifts, on-site work, and opportunities for training and advancement are available. Prior food service or retail experience is helpful; 16+ years old and basic math skills required.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Reads, writes, and follows oral/written directions.
• Basic math skills required.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record proper food temperatures.
• Set up and maintain a clean, sanitized serving area.
• Prepare and serve food items; restock areas.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and surfaces.
• Receive payment for food/beverages.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry as needed.
• Comply with HACCP guidelines and provide friendly service.
• Work independently when required and communicate effectively.
