Job summary

Baldwin Health is seeking a Nutritional Services Lead to support daily operations of the Nutrition Services department. You will assign tasks to Nutritional Services Technicians, oversee service delivery, and assist with meal service functions to ensure patient-centered care.

You will collaborate with Registered Dietitians, perform quality checks, update patient diet preferences, and guide staff to meet dietary needs while upholding regulatory and food safety standards in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in food service operations, preferably in a healthcare or acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assigns daily tasks to Nutritional Services Technicians and monitors workflow.
• Assists Registered Dietitians with 24-hour nutrition screenings for new patients.
• Introduces Nutritional Services to new admissions and explains diet orders.
• Conducts daily meal rounds to assess patient satisfaction and document feedback.
• Performs tray accuracy audits to support quality and compliance.
• Coordinates distribution of nourishments to units and departments.
• Updates patient food preferences in relevant systems.
• Provides guidance and on-the-job training to nutrition staff.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
