Job summary

City of Baltimore seeks a Nutrition Technician Supervisor to oversee adherence to nutrition program guidelines and to coordinate education for clients. This role supervises nutrition technicians, aides, and office staff under moderate supervision, with occasional weekend work in an office or clinic setting.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree with nutrition coursework and at least two years of counseling experience; a Dietetic Technology associate degree can substitute.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 nutrition credit hours.
• Two years of experience providing nutrition counseling.
• Equivalency: AS Dietetic Technology from an ADA-approved program may substitute for the education requirement.
• WIC Program requires CP Authority certification within nine months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nutrition technicians, aides and office staff.
• Monitor compliance with nutrition program guidelines.
• Coordinate nutritional education activities.
