Eventide-Linden Nutrition & Culinary Cook Position

Eventide-Linden is seeking a part-time Nutrition & Culinary Cook for our new restaurant in Senior Living. The work hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with varying weekdays, every other weekend, and holiday rotations.

The Nutrition and Culinary Cook is responsible for preparing meals or overseeing meal preparation to residents, ensuring compliance with sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards, and following established food production procedures.

Ideal Candidate
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Culinary Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes.
  • Use and supervise accurate portion control standards.
  • Organize and plan work schedules to meet meal service times.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions in the kitchen at all times.
  • Verify that all menu items are prepared as needed.
  • Store leftovers properly per food handling standards.
  • Operate equipment safely, hygienically, and respectfully.
  • Supervise the dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Check and log food temperatures regularly.
  • Perform cleaning tasks as scheduled.
  • Clean equipment and work areas to meet safety and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory and order food supplies to ensure adequate stock.
