Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while maintaining strict food-safety standards and a clean kitchen.

You will interact with residents and staff to provide excellent service, follow recipes, and accommodate dietary restrictions. Prior kitchen experience and a valid ServSafe or state certification may be required by local regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area may be required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
