Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support high-quality, safe food service for patients and staff. You will prepare and deliver meal trays, assist with food prep, maintain cleanliness, and communicate dietary needs with patients.

Follow healthcare foodservice standards, monitor temperatures, prevent cross-contamination, ensure correct portions and appealing presentation. You may perform cashiering, serve in the retail area, assemble and deliver patient trays,

Qualifications

1 year of Food Service or Customer Service experience.
Food Handler Permit: WA within 30 Days.

Responsibilities

Follow healthcare foodservice standards; monitor temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage.
Prepare and serve food per menu and dietary requirements; respond to allergy questions.
Maintain portion control and an aesthetically pleasing presentation.
Cashiering.
Serving in the retail area.
Assembling, delivering and retrieving patient trays.
Performing cold food prep.
Performing utility assignments (dishwashing, washing pots & pans, maintaining equipment).
Catering functions and/or delivering/picking up catered food.
Supporting inventory maintenance duties.
General cleaning of equipment and work areas.
