Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a food service or healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, and handle hot and cold food items.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Assist with preparing and cooking meals according to menu plans and dietary guidelines.
• Food Service: Serve meals and beverages to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Dietary Compliance: Adhere to residents' dietary restrictions and preferences as outlined in care plans.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety in kitchen areas.
• Communicate changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff or supervisor.
• Assist with inventory control and report shortages or expired items.
• Interact with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Collaborate with dietary staff, nurses, and caregivers to ensure seamless service.
• Follow facility policies, health regulations, and safety procedures.
