Job summary

Emerald in Omaha, NE is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the dietary team in providing nutritious meals to residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will assist with meal prep, serve meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and help ensure dietary needs align with care plans.

This role operates in a clinical healthcare environment; you will collaborate with dietary staff, nurses, and caregivers to ensure timely service, food safety, and respectful resident interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or healthcare is a plus but not required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation: assist with preparing and cooking meals per menu & dietary guidelines.
• Food service: serve meals/dbreverages to residents promptly and courteously.
• Dietary compliance: follow resident care plans and track dietary needs.
• Cleanliness: maintain sanitary kitchen by following food safety protocols.
• Communication: report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff.
• Inventory: assist with inventory control and report shortages.
• Resident interaction: engage with residents respectfully.
• Team collaboration: work with dietary staff, nurses, and caregivers.
• Compliance: follow facility policies and complete required trainings.
