Job summary

The UNC Nutrition Research Institute (NRI) and the Department of Nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are seeking up to four tenure-track faculty members with expertise in nutrigenetic/nutrigenomic causes of metabolic and nutrition variation.

Appointments are at assistant, associate, or full professor level, located at the UNC Chapel Hill Nutrition Research Institute on the NC Research Campus in Kannapolis, near Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in an appropriate discipline.
• Ability to establish and collaborate in multidisciplinary, funded research programs.
• Track record of scholarly accomplishment and teaching capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high-quality research program with capacity to obtain external funding.
• Teach duties negotiated with the Chair of the Department of Nutrition.
• Advise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows; participate in service programs of the Institute and Department.
